St John’s College is a world-class Christian, African school founded in 1898. The school accepts boys from Grade 0 to Grade 12 into the Pre-Preparatory, Preparatory and the College, and accepts boys and girls in The Bridge Nursery School and Sixth Form.

St John’s numbers among South Africa’s pre-eminent schools, with a reputation for excellence extending well beyond the country’s borders.

Admission to St John’s College is at the discretion of the Heads of the five schools.

St John’s College is an independent school that fully embraces diversity, and in doing so reserves the right to accept any pupil at the school’s discretion.

Please take note of the criteria, admissions dates, and processes to ensure applications are done timeously and correctly.

Admission is not automatic for any child and the school may ascertain that a pupil will thrive better in a different academic environment.

Enrolments for Grades 000 to Grade 12 and A Levels are currently open, with the exception of Grade 8 for 2024 which is now complete. Enrolments for Grade 8 in 2024 are open.

An application fee of R500 is required to access the application form. The application process to St John’s College is exclusively online.

2023 Schedule Of Fees

All families joining St John’s College are required to sign a Parent Contract which is available to view or download below. This contract assists parents, guardians, or payers and the School to understand and manage our unique contractual relationship more efficiently.

To remain valid, this Parent Contract will be renewed each year, and you will be asked to agree to the Terms and Conditions each year as a precondition to readmission for the following academic year.
