ABOUT THE COMPANY – WK CONSTRUCTION
WK Construction, originally known as “WJM Construction” before a management buyout, was founded in the year 1993. Since its inception, the company has become one of the biggest independent civil engineering contractor firms in southern Africa. They have been a major role player in the construction of roads, railways and pipelines in South Africa and are able to provide cost-effective and innovative infrastructure development within the SADC region.
WK Constructions expertise include; Roads and Earthworks; Crushing and Screening; Pipeline Construction; Trenchless Construction; Concrete Structures and Township Infrastructure and Roads Services. The company is a full member of the South African Federation of Civil Engineering Contractors (SAFCEC), with CIDB gradings including 7 GB; 7 SD; 8 ME and 9 CE.
ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED
WK Construction (Pty) Ltd are offering all-inclusive bursary awards (covering all study-related expenses) to students each year, who are currently studying within the BSc Civil Engineering field.
Chosen candidates must have completed their first year of study or be able to prove that they will do so before the awarding of the bursary.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
- South African citizen
- Completed Matric
- Studying full time towards a BSc Civil Engineering qualification
- Completed your first year of study OR be able to prove that you will do so
- Studying at a recognised tertiary institution in South Africa

Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your completed application form (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application be disregarded):
- ID document (certified copy of)
- Matric certificate (certified copy of)
- Latest tertiary academic results (certified copy of)
- Curriculum Vitae (max 2 pages)
