Prospective students

The university recognises culture, art, and leadership achievements obtained in the matric year (Grade 12). The following achievements qualify:

NB: An M score of 32 or an admission point of 30 is a minimum requirement for these bursaries.

Guaranteed amounts will be paid into the student’s class fee account ± end of April.

Prospective students have to apply for culture, art, and leadership bursaries before 15 February of the year of study.

In addition, bursaries may also be considered for other culture, art, and leadership achievements. It is therefore important that you complete your bursary application forms in detail. 

Senior and postgraduate students

Bursaries for senior students/SRC presidents/SRC vice-presidents are awarded annually on the basis of culture and leadership qualities. Application forms are available at the office of the Dean: Student Affairs, UFS, PO Box 339, Bloemfontein 9300. (The closing date is in September of every year.)
