International Institute for Sports Science and Fitness Training (IIFT) Lecturers

Lecturers from different universities are appointed to provide assistance in specific fields of specialisation in health, fitness and sports.  They are also highly experienced in scientific and practical applications.  Our lecturers are:

Lecturers

Annelise van der Sandt

B. Honours degree in Sports Science 2004 Matriculated in 2000, Jim Fouche High School, Bloemfontein
2001 – commenced employment at Virgin Active as an intern and was permanently appointed in 2002 as “Fitness Consultant” whilst studying.
2003 – appointed as the Senior Lifestyle Consultant while doing Personal Training part-time until the end of 2004; completed the IIFT course in Aerobics and Step. Started presenting Group Exercise classes.
2004 – appointed as Group Training Manager. After 4 months, appointed as Fitness Manager.
2005 – appointed as Duel Portfolio Fitness & Group Training Manager. Continued up to July 2007 and was appointed as Free State V-Programme Master Trainer earlier in 2007.
2007 – Start presenting the IIFT Personal Training Course and started own Personal Training business full time. “Presently my Personal Training business is very successful and I thoroughly enjoy it!”

Dr Kim Nolte

BA(HMS), BA(HONS)(HMS), MA(HMS), PHD(HMS)

Dr Nolte is a qualified Biokineticist; in addition, she has various qualifications in the fitness, sport and business fields. Apart from her clinical experience as a biokineticist, she has extensive experience in the management and administration of elite sport and currently lectures various modules for the University of Pretoria as well as coordinates research for the Institute for Sports Research (ISR). She has a keen interest in ageing and exercise, the management of sports injuries, biomechanics and the use of exercise therapy in the treatment of rheumatic diseases. Furthermore, she is the head of training (Group Fitness and Personal Training) and lectures for the International Institute for Sport Science and Fitness Training (IIFT). She has published numerous articles and presented papers at several National and International Congresses.
