Welcome to Open Learning
Our mission at the Open Learning Unit of Gert Sibande TVET College is to enhance teaching and learning through technology. We strive towards ICT excellence inside and outside the class room. Computer-based and cloud-based learning, contribute to the high performance of our students. Online and distance learning programmes provide increased access to learning opportunities. We embrace technology and innovation as the drivers of the 4th Industrial Revolution in the Higher Education space.
The Khuphula staff portal enable transparent and just-in-time access to a wide range of academic and corporate aspects applicable to the day-to-day operations of the college.
GSC4ME student portal is an interactive cloud-based learning platform providing academic support to students. Multi-media resources, assignments, previous question papers and discussion groups are to the disposal of students online. GSC4ME is also available as a mobile app, downloadable from Play store.
Online Distance Learning is offered in partnership with the StudentHub. A piloting programme, Human Resources N4-N6, rolled out in 2020 at the Evander campus.
