Durban Computer College Faculty of Information Technology

The Faculty of Information Technology will equip students with problem-solving skills; teach them how to think critically and how to apply knowledge through basic research methods and practice.

IT specialists are in demand and require special training and skill to make this a viable career path. The world of computing requires students to have a critical mind and the ability to think systematically and coherently. Students will learn how to write programmes in a variety of computer knowledge and understand how networks work.

The Faculty of Information Technology offers a range of National Diplomas and  National Certificates, including the following:-

  • Information Technology
  • PC Support and Networking
  • End-User Computing
  • Technical Support
  • System Development

National Diplomas are offered at Berea College of Technology only. National Certificates are offered at both Berea Technical College (BTC) and Berea College of Technology (BCT)campuses.

National Certificates are issued and verified by MICT SETA (Media, Information and Communication Technologies) Sector Education and Training Authority.

National Diplomas are set and issued by Berea College of Technology.
