Enrolment

  1. A year-end school report for Grades 11 or 12 certificates; or
  2. An NQF 1 qualification; or
  3. An approved bridging programme designed for the specific purpose to access NQF Level 2; or
  4. A Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment to meet the basic requirements for access to NQF Level 2
  5. Grades 9 and 10 will be considered only in exceptional cases

Students will have the following options:

Access workplace opportunities in a work environment or sector relevant to his/her vocational specialization (such as a bank/insurance company after doing the Financial, Economics and Accounting programme).

  1. Access the workplace with the occupational specialization he/she might have opted for through the 4th subject option (such as Motor Mechanics after opting for Automotive Repair and Maintenance)
  2. Progress into higher education
  3. Pursue further training at the same/horizontal level
  4. Self-employment
Capricorn TVET College has four Campuses namely, Seshego Campus,  Polokwane Campus,  Ramokgopa Campus and Senwabarwana Campus. 
Capricorn College is a product of a merger of three Colleges with very distinct and diverse historical backgrounds. These were the former Pietersburg Technical College (PTC), Bochum College of Education and the former Northern Province Community College (NPCC).

Admission Requirements
For entry into the National Certificate (VOCATIONAL) at NQF Level 2 you are required to have:

  • A year-end school report for Grades 11 or 12 certificates; or
  • An NQF 1 qualification; or
  • An approved bridging program designed for the specific purpose to access NQF Level 2; or
  • A Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment to meet the basic requirements for access
    to NQF Level 2
  • Grades 9 and 10 will be considered only in exceptional cases.

The National Certificate (Vocational) subjects are offered at Levels 2, 3 & 4 of the  National Qualification Framework (NQF).  All NCV programs consist of a fundamental learning component and a vocational component and
comprise 130 credits at each level.
3 Fundamental Subjects (Compulsory):

  • English first additional language (official language)
  • Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
  • Life Orientation
