Cape Audio College Admission Requirements
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The minimum entry requirement for the Higher Certificate and Diploma programmes is an appropriate National Senior Certificate result or its international equivalent. Foreign students can evaluate the compatibility of their qualifications with SAQA via their website (http://www.saqa.org.za/).
An applicant who has not completed an NCS or its equivalent but has suitable work experience and/ or is of mature age (23), and wishes to gain access to a higher education programme offered by the College may apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL) assessment. Please contact our administration department for more information on this procedure.
Prospective students must be legal South African citizens or in the case of international students, must present a valid passport and study permit.
Applicants must complete the Cape Audio College application form and application questionnaire in full and post, email, fax or hand-deliver it to the administration department of the College. All supporting documents must be included with the application in order for it to be processed.
DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED BY SOUTH AFRICAN CITIZENS
In addition to the completed application form, prospective students are required to submit the following documentation:
• Certified copy of South African ID document/ Passport
• Certified copies of National Senior Certificate results (if the NSC exams have not yet been
completed please include a provisional statement of results).
• Academic transcripts, certificates or diplomas of any additional qualifications.
DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED BY INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
In addition to the completed application form, prospective students are required to submit the following documentation:
• Certified copy of passport (identification page)
• Certified copy of study permit
• Certified copies of School qualification and results (if secondary schooling is not yet completed
please include a provisional statement of results).
• Academic transcripts, certificates or diplomas of any additional qualifications.
• Proof of sufficient English literacy (e.g. TEOFL results if English was not done at school)
• Foreign students must apply for an evaluation of their foreign qualification with the South
African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). This is to ensure that their school qualification is
comparable to the South African National Senior Certificate and provides eligibility for entry into
Higher Education studies in South Africa.

Please note: International students applying for study permits must be aware that it can take up to three
months to secure a study permit. Please ensure you apply for your study permit early enough to ensure you
have the study permit in hand before the commencement of the course. International students will not be allowed entry into the courses without a valid study permit.
